Domus Client Needs Poll™: Your Employees and Your Business Objectives

Our client experience with employee engagement has shown us that engaged employees are happier and harder-working employees. They understand their position in the company and recognize that their position, no matter how small, is contributing to the overall goal of achieving their business’ objectives.

We know that an engaged employee, someone who is motivated to perform at their best, not just for personal gain but because they believe in their organization and its goals, are 70% more likely to understand how to meet their customers’ needs. They also reach productivity and profitability rates that are 70% higher than their peers.

So we posed the question to our Twitter followers and website visitors: How much do you agree or disagree with the following statement – “Employees at my company understand how their roles are aligned with our business objectives.” When we first sent out the question during our 2nd Edition Domus Client Needs Poll™, we received a response of 85% of marketers agreeing with this statement. However during our most recent online poll, agreement with this statement DECREASED to 50%. Marketers are beginning to see the effects of un-engaged employees and realizing it does not just cost them morale, but also money taken from their bottom line.
